The University of Delaware College Republicans (“UDCR,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through udelgop.org, how we use it, and the choices you have. This is a student-organization website and is not officially endorsed by the University of Delaware.

Information we collect

We only collect the information you choose to give us:

• Sign-up & contact details. When you submit our Join / Contact form, we collect the information you enter — your name, email address, class year, and any message you include.
• Basic technical data. Like most websites, our host automatically records standard server information (such as your IP address, browser type, and pages visited) for security and reliability.

We do not use advertising trackers, and this site does not set analytics or marketing cookies.

How we use your information

• To respond to your message and follow up about membership.
• To share updates about meetings, events, and activities.
• To operate, secure, and improve the website.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

How your information is processed

Our website is hosted on Netlify, and form submissions are processed through Netlify Forms. Information you submit is stored in our Netlify account and is accessible to our organization’s leadership. Netlify processes this data on our behalf; see Netlify’s own privacy policy for details on its practices.

Our website also links to external services such as Instagram and Student Central. Once you leave udelgop.org, this policy no longer applies, and those services’ own privacy policies govern your use.

Data retention

We keep submitted information only as long as needed to stay in touch with you and operate the organization. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see below).

Your choices and rights

You may request to access, correct, or delete the personal information you’ve provided, or ask to stop receiving communications, by reaching out through our contact form or by messaging us on Instagram at @udelgop. We’ll respond within a reasonable time.

Children’s privacy

This site is intended for university students and the general public. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes may also be noted on this page.
