Endorsement of Dr. Mike Katz for U.S. Senate
June 5, 2026
On behalf of the Executive Board of the College Republicans at the University of Delaware our organization proudly endorses Dr. Mike Katz for US Senate.
Dr. Katz has spent the last three decades working towards a better Delaware. From the ICU to the state legislature, Dr. Katz has served Delaware courageously with diligence – and he will continue to do the same in the United States Senate.
Dr. Katz’s motto of putting “people over politics” is exactly the solution our country desperately needs in the current moment. As Washington elites continually attempt to block President Trump’s common sense agenda, our nation and our state desperately need leaders that will fight for the interests of Delaware, not the interests of the political elites.
The race comes down to one motto: people over politics. A vote for Katz is a vote for “people over politics.” A vote for Coons is a vote for continued domination of the lobbyist class over Delaware politics.
We need fearless leaders with experience in winning for Delaware, both within and outside the political sphere, serving our great state. Dr. Mike Katz is exactly the man to fill this role and we are grateful for his courage and leadership.

Statement on the Assassination of Charlie Kirk
September 10, 2025
The College Republicans at the University of Delaware are heartbroken by the tragic passing of Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA. Charlie was fearless in his fight, steeped in faith, freedom, and patriotism.
Unfortunately, today we witnessed the opposite of those principles at Utah Valley University. Charlie was in the midst of his element, drawing a crowd on campus as always, where he challenged college students in an exchange of views, and was struck fatally and died shortly thereafter.
Our party, and our country, has lost the most consequential political commentator of our time. Charlie has defined and inspired a generation of young conservatives to be bold, courageous, and to engage with their peers in peaceful, open exchange. In a time of great political polarization in our country, he stood for what our country’s tradition of civil discourse is.
May we never forget all of Charlie Kirk’s courage, values, strength, and legacy. Our prayers are with his widow and young children.
Statement Concerning U.S. Tensions with Iran
January 10, 2020
Over the past several months tensions between the United States and Iran have escalated following the Iranian regime’s continuing hostile actions against American citizens and assets abroad. This came to a head when Iranian-backed militias killed a US contractor and attacked our embassy in Baghdad, Iraq only a few weeks ago.
Last week, the Trump administration responded by directing the military to kill Qassem Soleimani, an Iranian terrorist general in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, who is responsible for over 600 American deaths and the deaths and suffering of many innocents throughout the Middle East.
Iran retaliated by firing missiles at allied air bases in Iraq, which resulted in no casualties. The President addressed the nation the following morning, signaling a willingness to de-escalate tensions between the two countries.
It is a good day for America, the Middle East, and the World when a man like Qassem Soleimani is no longer able to wreak havoc. We are thankful that there were no casualties as a result of the Iranian retaliation and forever grateful and indebted to our brave men and women in uniform.
